A COMMUNITY spirited group showed the importance of supporting the area with a generous act on Mother’s Day.
The group, Friends of the Mistley Anchor, came together to support those having a tough day unable to see their loved ones.
More than 100 people entered the competition with a chance to win a gift hamper compiled of items from the area’s businesses.
Some of the kind-hearted places that donated included De’aths bakery, Estuary Wine Bar, The Pink Shed beauticians and The Mistley Kitchen.
Hannah Saverymuttu, of the group who organised the hampers, said: “In-keeping with our community focused goals, we got together with a group of more than 10 well-loved, local businesses to curate gorgeous, and completely unique, gift hampers for three lucky winners. ....
