Pension trustees face court over ‘prohibited employer loans’

Two pension trustees face court over allegations they made prohibited loans from a company pension scheme to the scheme employer.
Company directors Andrew Kyprianou, 58, of Glebe Avenue, Enfield, Middlesex and Colin Werb, 69, of The Birches, Grimes Gate, Diseworth, Derby appeared before Kirklees Magistrates’ Court on 30 April.
They are charged with two counts of making prohibited employer-related investments.
Each trustee also faces two charges of providing false or misleading information to TPR contrary to section 80 of the Pensions Act 2004 for documents provided to the investigation which, the regulator alleges, were fabricated. ....
