Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 20 (ANI): In view of the circumstances arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday imposed a moratorium on the fee hike for all the schools of all education boards in the state for the academic session 2021-22.
Many families in the state have been financially affected by the COVID-19-induced situation. Schools are physically not operating, but online classes are taking place. In view of all these circumstances, the government has made a balanced decision so that the general public does not get burdened and also to ensure regular payment to teachers and non-teaching staff working in the schools, Dinesh Sharma, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister said. ....

UP closes all schools for students up to Class 8 till April 11 amid Covid surge

LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to close all government and private schools up to Class VIII till April 11.
As per the sources, the managements of about 200 unaided primary schools have decided to go back to the online mode of classes when the schools reopen on April 11. The decision comes amid the spike in Covid cases in the state. 
“It is not easy to enforce COVID protocol with tiny tots as the situation seemingly is getting alarming in the wake of an unprecedented surge in the cases of COVID -19 cases. The current situation is a grim reminder of scenario in March-April last year when the deadly virus had struck and the schools were declared closed after the virus spread in epidemic from across the state.,” said a senior office-bearer of the association of unaided primary schools. ....

Uttar Pradesh schools to remain closed for classes 1 to 8 till April 11
Uttar Pradesh government on Friday ordered the closing of schools - both government and private - for students of classes 1 to 8 till April 11 in the wake of the Covid-19 situation in the state.
Earlier, the Yogi Adityanth government had ordered the closure of schools for students up to Class 8 till April 4 in view of increasing COVID-19 infections. Now the administration has extended the period of closure till April 11. 
The state administration has given strict instructions to school authorities to follow Covid-19 protocol in schools for other classes. ....
