Larnel Coleman threw on an aqua Air Jordan t-shirt after his morning shower Saturday. The UMass offensive lineman didn’t know it then, but it was the perfect fit.
The Miami Dolphins selected Coleman with the third pick in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft on Saturday, No. 231 overall.
“This experience, I’m not going to lie, it’s really just magical. It’s been real stressful going throughout the day and just hearing my name called by this team, it means so much to me,” Coleman said. “I just can’t wait to work once I get down there and whatnot. It’s just really a blessing. I’m really happy that this team selected me.” ....

AMHERST – Paul Sullivan and Troy Doming, both of Belchertown, found plenty of concrete surface to try their longboard skate boards around the University of Massachusetts campus on Friday, finally settling on a gentle ramp between the Lederle Graduate Research Research Tower and Goessman Laboratory. Even though the campus was not as bustling as it would be in a normal year, the two riders, along with Troy’s brother Dakota, were being mindful of pedestrians and didn’t take to the ramp when there was anyone on, or approaching, it.

AMHERST A $2 million capital campaign underway for the construction of a new Newman Catholic Center, likely to open in spring 2022, is already halfway toward its goal due, in large part, to a gift from an alumnus.
George “Trigger” Burke, who is the honorary chairman of the “Miracles Happen… When Heart Speaks to Heart” campaign, recently made a $500,000 contribution, one of the 52 donors who have pledged a combined $1 million toward the project.
As a result of Burke’s gift, the worship space inside the new building, to be constructed at North Pleasant Street and Thatcher Road, will bear his name. ....
