Eagle Butte man indicted for Assaulting Federal Officers

A 33 year old man from Eagle Butte has been indicted by a federal grand jury for Assaulting Federal Officers.
Floyd Alex High Hawk, Jr., a/k/a Cactus pled not guilty.
Federal court information says on August 17, 2020, High Hawk was detained at a jail in Eagle Butte, and he assaulted two detention officers who were attempting to move him to a different cell. High Hawk punched one detention officer in the face and wrestled with another, causing an injury to his knee.
The maximum penalty if convicted is up to 20 years in federal prison and/or a $250,000 fine, three years of supervised release restitution may be ordered. ....
