Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman meets Pakistan army chief

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani chief of army staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, crown prince, deputy prime minister and minister of defense of Saudi Arabia, and reviewed bilateral relations, Saudi state news agency SPA reported.
Bajwa arrived in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday. Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan will also embark on a three-day visit to the Kingdom today.
The media wing of the Pakistani military said “matters of mutual interest, regional security situation including recent developments in Afghan Peace Process, bilateral defense, security, collaboration for regional peace and connectivity were discussed” during Friday’s meeting. ....

Kochi (Kerala) [India], April 20 (ANI): The Kerala High Court on Tuesday dismissed a petition filed by former Kerala Minister for Higher Education and Minority Welfare KT Jaleel, challenging a report of the state Lokayukta which had found him guilty of nepotism and favouritism.
A division bench comprising Justices PB Suresh Kumar and K Babu affirmed the Lokayukta report. The Lokayukta had declared that Jaleel was unfit to continue as a Minister, for violation of his oath of office.
Kerala Higher Education Minister KT Jaleel had resigned from his position on April 13 after the Kerala High Court refused to stay the Lokayukta finding him guilty of allegations of abuse of power, favouritism, nepotism and violation of Oath of Office and has ordered that he should not continue to hold the post held by him as a Membe ....

The Kerala High Court on Tuesday dismissed the writ petition filed by former Minister for Higher Education and Minority Welfare KT Jaleel, challenging a report of the Kerala Lok Ayukta which had found him guilty of nepotism and favouritism.
A division bench comprising Justices PB Suresh Kumar and K Babu affirmed the Lok Ayukta report, stating that J
aleel had not made out any ground for interference in the final opinion formulated by the Lok Ayukta in this proceedings under Article 226 of the Constitution.
Finding that the Lok Ayukta had acted within the scope of its powers when it arrived at its conclusion, the Court emphasized that only errors of fact which had a direct nexus with the decision-making process could be interfered with, rather than an error that affected the merit. ....

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) [India], April 13 (ANI): KeralaHigher Education MinisterKT Jaleel on Tuesday resigned from the Pinarayi Vijayan Cabinet, days after the state Lokayukta held that he had abused his position as a public servant.
Jaleel has sent his resignation to the Chief Minister and it has been forwarded to the Governor.
The development was also confirmed by Jaleel in a Facebook post.
His resignation comes in the backdrop of the Lokayukta finding him guilty of allegations of abuse of power, favouritism, nepotism and violation of Oath of Office and has ordered that he should not continue to hold the post held by him as a Member of the Council of Ministers. ....

K T Jaleel, Kerala s Minister for Higher Education and Minority Welfare has moved the Kerala High Court against the report of the Kerala Lok Ayukta charging him with nepotism, abuse of power and favouritism in giving government appointment to his second cousin by altering norms.
Specifically under challenge is Paragraph 54 of the said Report, wherein the Lok Ayukta comprising Justices
Cyriac Joseph (former Supreme Court judge) and
