Invekeithing: Fraser Avenue development progressing despite delays

THE next phase of the £30 million redevelopment of Inverkeithing s Fraser Avenue is now set to be completed by next summer – a year later than originally planned.
Phase two of the project has suffered delays because of the coronavirus pandemic and Brexit, however, Kingdom Homes say that works are now progressing well.
Around 29 units will be ready to be handed over to tenants by the end of the calendar year with the final completion date for all 61 housing units and a park area earmarked for June 2022.

A strategy to steer Fife out of the Covid-19 pandemic and help the region recover has been set out.
Members of Fife Council’s policy and co-ordination committee have approved a range of reports with the aim of ensuring that “no-one is left behind”, redoubling efforts to tackle poverty.
Services have been asked to look to build on the way Fife has responded to the pandemic, focus on wellbeing, improving local places and tackling climate change, as well as encouraging new ways of working with communities. ....

Plans to build a £9.8 million care village in Cupar are a step closer after councillors rubber-stamped the project’s business plan.
The new facility, to replace the aging Northeden House care home, will consist of a 24-bed home, 12 supported living flats, a 10-place day service facility as well as community support accommodation.
It will be built at the existing site at Bank Street.
Members of Fife Council’s policy and coordination committee supported the revised plans for the multi-purpose facility, which was originally supposed to be a straight replacement for the existing 36 bed care home. ....
