April 28, 2021LITTLETON Last December, exiting Littleton High School Vice Principal Greg Fillion called for an investigation into the School Board. His initial concerns were in regard to the board s transparency, ethics and accountability. After several individuals were interviewed in regard to Fillion s complaints, there were no findings, and the investigation was closed and the minutes sealed as is customary.
Fillion requested those minutes be made available to him.
I tried three times to meet during non-public sessions, and all three times, I was turned down. I feel like I don t have a choice but to make sure that I am heard. I am concerned about board ethics, the behavior of some of our board members, previous board members and what I feel it s doing to our district, stated the administrator. ....

Officials confident that no in-school transmission took place
April 28, 2021Around 126 Gilford students and five school staff members are in quarantine after multiple people tested positive for COVID-19, though the superintendent says none of the transmission took place in the schools themselves.
Superintendent Kirk Beitler wrote an update with the situation on the district s Web site. As of April 19, a large number of positive COVID-19 cases has been reported in all three schools with even more students and staff quarantining. At Gilford High School alone, more than 100 students were in quarantine.
As of last Monday, those in quarantine included 107 students and three staff members at GHS, 16 students and one staff member at Gilford Middle School, and three students and one staff member at Gilford Elementary School. ....

Fifty members of the New Zealand Defence Force have contracted Covid-19 while based offshore.
The NZDF says the figure is a reflection of the high global infection rate, but refuses to release details of who caught the virus and where, sighting medical and privacy considerations .
The revelation to the Herald comes after 13 personnel and family stationed in Canada caught the virus earlier this month.
They appeared to have picked up the virus from their accommodation in a building 12km from the Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt. ....
