Man allegedly 'nelson locked' his victim until she couldn't breathe

A man allegedly placed his victim in a nelson lock and went to the ground and squeezed her until she could no longer breathe.
Clinton Ray Von Senden, 37, made a bail application in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on March 4.
Von Senden had been charged with choking, wounding and possessing dangerous drugs.
He was not required to enter a plea.
Magistrate Jason Schubert said it was alleged the assaults took place after the victim told Von Senden she didn t like the way he spoke to her when he told her to close a door.
He said Von Senden allegedly put the victim in a nelson lock . ....

A woman accused of domestic violence, claims the alleged victim attended her address without permission or invite.
The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, made a bail application in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on January 4.
Defence lawyer Brandon Selic said his client denied the charges and had a witness to back her version â her sister.
He said his clientâs bail address would be with her sister where the alleged offences occurred.
Mr Selic said the defendant claimed the alleged victim visited that address on December 31 without an invite.
He said the alleged male victim lived with his mother in another suburb. ....

MARYLAND – Elected officials and advocates are trying to make a positive change in the way that child custody proceedings happen in Maryland’s court system. They’re focusing on making sure that children and parents in situations that involve abuse or domestic violence have the resources they need. “Our laws don’t always take into account emotional trauma, psychological trauma, secondary trauma. Therefore the courts are also not taking that into account,” said Legal Director of the Women’s Law Center of Maryland Laure Ruth.
