L'Oreal's Expanding Markets Help Boost Online Sales

AS THE world’s largest cosmetics company, L’Oreal has been a trendsetter in skincare, makeup, perfume, haircare and more since its 1909 inception in Paris. The internationally-renown company recently reported higher-than-expected numbers for its 4th quarter, effectively surpassing competitors within the beauty industry. As worldwide consumers adjusted to the pandemic, L’Oreal was able to benefit from a major shift to online shopping. The company reported a 62% increase in online sales in 2020, whereas luxury retailers took the hit from closed duty-free shops in airports and high-end brick and mortar stores.
Over the previous months, the company has enjoyed international business growth, particularly in China, and has been able to meet consumers’ evolving needs and growing demand for both skincare and hair dye products. Thanks to these adjustments and more, L’Oreal closed out the October-December period at 7.88 ....

Retailers and brands have ushered in Black History Month 2021 with an unprecedented barrage of announcements that address systemic racism within their own businesses, welcome Black entrepreneurs and employees to their ranks, and get Black-owned brands onto their shelves.

L’Oréal USA Partners With NAACP To Launch Grant Program To Support Black-Owned Small Businesses

Since the protests against racial injustice started in spring 2020, were sparked by the deaths of Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, major corporations have stepped up efforts to show their support to create initiatives that advance social change. Beauty giant L’Oreal announced that they will launch a new business grant program to help Black-owned brands.
Earlier this year, the company announced they will partner with the NAACP to create new initiatives to help the Black community. The launch of The Inclusive Beauty Fund will go to provide one-time grants worth $10,000 for Black-owned brands and services in the beauty sector to help their existing business. ....
