Eileen Purdy Eileen Ramona Purdy passed away on February 16, 2021. Eileen was born November 19, 1938 in Thief River Falls Minnesota to Norval and Myrtle Swenson. In high school and after graduation she enjoyed working retail and hostessing at local restaurants. She married Robert Purdy Sr. on January 13th 1962 and they had two sons Bobby and Michael. Eileen and Robert ran Purdy Shoe Store in Thief River Falls and Grand Forks. Later they moved to Red Wing and took over Anderson Shoes. One of their adventures was purchasing and running a fishing resort in Lake of the Woods Canada. Warm weather eventually called them to Arizona where they lived for many years. Eileen loved the climate and sunshine every day. Robert passed away in April 2006 and this brought Eileen back to Minnesota. In Minnesota she was closer to her four siblings, two children, and grandchildren. She lived in Golden Valley before moving to Worthington Minnesota. While in the cities she loved sh ....
