Sirens blaring, a motorcade of sheriff’s vehicles drove down a Yermo street last week, escorting one of the most well-known people in history: Santa Claus.
The man in the red suit rode shotgun in a UTV packed with gifts on Christmas morning as the procession stopped in front of one of the houses.
Saint Nick arrived bearing gifts. He hefted a bag over his shoulder. A young boy greeted and hugged him as soon as he walked through the property s gate.
The event was part of Shop with a Cop sponsored by the Sheriff’s Employees’ Benefit Association, which posted a video of Santa s visit on social media Wednesday. ....
