Odusanya's sack followed due process, FUOYE insists

The Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, (FUOYE) at the weekend, insisted that relieving its former registrar, Mr. Olatunbosun S. E. Odusanya, of his appointment over allegation of illegal recruitment of 337 staff and other misconducts followed due process with recourse to extant laws, regulations and best practice.
It said contrary to allegation of a witch-hunt being peddled by the sacked registrar, his termination of appointment was carried out by the University Governing Council and not the management over sundry proven allegations of misconduct in accordance with section 14(3) of the Regulations Governing Condition of Service of Senior Staff of the university. ....

FUOYE suspends Registrar for alleged misconduct

FUOYE suspends Registrar for alleged misconduct
The council said the registrar was suspended to allow proper investigation into allegations of misconduct levelled against him over irregularities in recent appointments.
Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, has suspended the Registrar, Olatunbosun Odusanya, for alleged misconduct.
This is contained in a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti by the Special Adviser on Media Matters to the Vice-Chancellor, Wole Balogun.
Mr Balogun said Mr Odusanya was suspended by the University Governing Council, chaired by Mohammed Yahuza, to allow proper investigation into allegations of misconduct levelled against him over irregularities in recent appointments.
The council said Mr Odusanya’s suspension was conveyed to him in a letter dated April, 20, 2021 and signed by the Vice-Chancellor, Abayomi Fasina. ....

Staff members and alumni of Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State, have written to President Muhammadu Buhari, listing what they described as the “unprecedented anomalies” allegedly perpetrated by the institution’s rector, John Adekolawole.
Mr. Adekolawole had in recent time been in the news for the wrong reasons, especially following allegation of putting in place a king-sized bed in his office.
PREMIUM TIMES had also, in December, reported how the school’s academic board passed a vote-of-no-confidence in the rector and subsequently sent its resolution to the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu. ....
