      The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), has said that only 58,000 doctors in the country out of 130,000 renewed their annual practising licence  in 2023 which is an indication that they are still practising in Nigeria.

The management of the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Ogun State, has attributed the death of one of its students, Abimbola Ajayi, to a failed abortion and not negligence on the part of the institution's clinic.

Nigeria's Federal Polytechnic In Ilaro Denies Negligence In Abimbola Ajayi's Death, Says Deceased Student Suffered Pregnancy-related Complications

The authorities of the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro in Ogun State have said that the death of one of its female students, Abimbola Ajayi, was not caused by negligence by the school clinic. The school denied the allegation in a statement issued by its Deputy Registrar, Public Relations, Mr Sola Abiala, while reacting to allegations by some students of the school that Ajayi’s death on Wednesday, was as a result of negligence by the school clinic.
