Phoenix, Arizona - Justin Walters, a teacher at the Desert Garden Montessori School in Phoenix, is alleged to have had long-term, sexual relationship with a minor student, and has been arrested by U.S. Marshals in Chicago, Illinois.
On May 06, 2021, an arrest warrant was issued in Maricopa County for Justin Walters, 29, on 10 counts of sexual contact with a minor. These charges stem from a longstanding relationship where Walters was the victim’s schoolteacher and groomed her before beginning a sexual relationship with her. Shortly after being interviewed by Phoenix Police detectives regarding these allegations, Walters left Arizona. ....

Elmira man charged with murder connected to February shooting death

It was one of three fatal shootings in Elmira early this year.
In late February, Shamal I. Gladden, 44, of Elmira, was shot and killed outside the Speedway convenience store on Maple Avenue on the city s Southside. Police charged Khalid D. Abdul-Wahhad, 34, of Binghamton, with second-degree murder.
Following a police investigation, a Chemung County grand jury indicted Baugh in connection with the Feb. 7 incident. Police believed at that time Baugh had left the area.
Elmira police requested assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service Regional Fugitive Task Force, which obtained information about Baugh s presence at a residence in Hampton.
With assistance from the Hampton Police Department, marshals were able to take Baugh into custody without incident. ....
