After making the rounds for a couple of festival seasons, Montell2099 s instantly recognisable remix of Wilkinson s Take You Higher is getting an official release this week.
We found out late last year via Wilkinson s Reddit AMA that the track was finally going to see the light of day, and now we have confirmation that the track will be arriving Friday as the second track signed to Wilkinson s Sleepless Label - following the label founder s launch track Frontline.

Drum and bass authority Wilkinson announced earlier this month he was launching his own label - Sleepless - and now the first track on the imprint has arrived.
Frontline marks the start of Wilkinson s third solo album and may sound familiar to fans, having been played out during a bunch of live streams.
After a massive 2020 dropping collaborative album Portals with Sub Focus, Wilkinson has kept the ball rolling in a big way - and if this tune wasn t enough to get you excited, according to UKF the next release on the label arrives next month with our own Montell2099 s remix of Take You Higher getting an official release. ....

According to a press release, the documentary will explain the impossible expectations Stone dealt with, along with pressure to have mainstream success while becoming a vital representative for Black America.
It goes beyond saying that Sly s creative legacy is in my DNA, says Questlove in a statement. It s a Black musician s blueprint, adding, To be given the honor to explore his history and legacy is beyond a dream for me. ....
