Hilliard s pools will open at full capacity May 29 ThisWeek group Summer at the Hilliard Family Aquatic Center, 3800 Municipal Way, and at the Clyde “Butch” Seidle Community Pool, 4450 Schirtzinger Road, will look much more normal this pool season. “With the governor’s announcement, we are no longer limiting capacities or enforcing time slots, said Anna Subler, communications administrator for Hilliard. We are opening at full capacity May 29 with regular hours. Previously, patrons were advised to arrive at the facility s swim ready. All the facilities at both pools will open May 29. Previously, the lazy river at the Hilliard Family Aquatic Center and the interactive pool were not scheduled to open May 29 but rather in later phases. ....

The city plans to bring back its annual Independence Day celebration, “Freedom Fest,” on July 3. Events like “Friday Flicks,” “Sprouts Night Out,” and “Wheels and Waffles” are also expected to come back in the summer. Hilliard has worked to follow the guidelines from the Ohio Department of Health, Franklin County Public Health, and the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention. “The City is thrilled to be getting back to some normalcy with the Summer in the City series,” said Park and Recreation Director Ed Merritt. “It was important for us to find safe ways for the community to connect with friends and family.” ....
