WELL NEW TONIGHT SCENE 75 ENTERTAINMENT CENTER IN EDGEWOOD HAS ANNOUNCED IT IS CLOSING PERMANENTLY THE CENTER WHICH HOUSES INDOOR GO KARTS AND LASER TAG AND MINI-GOLF ARCADE GAMES AND MORE HAS BEEN IN PITTSBURGH SINCE 2018. THEY SAY THE PANDEMIC AND LOST REVENUE DURING TWO LOCKDOWNS IS THE MAIN REASON BEHIND THE CLOSURE.

Scene75, a large indoor entertainment center, appears to be the latest victim of the covid-19 pandemic, as its Edgewood Towne Center location is closing permanently.
Scene75 offered an array of entertainment, ranging from an indoor go-cart track and a two-story laser tag course to 18 holes of indoor miniature golf and 90,000 square feet of arcade games.
The Edgewood site closed during the covid-19 pandemic but was apparently planning to reopen this spring. A sign hanging on the door Monday reads: “Due to government restrictions surrounding covid-19, this location will be closed until further notice.” ....

When Regina Adams launched her business in the Monroeville Mall a few weeks before the covid-19 pandemic started, she had no idea she’d have to turn around and close it again.
Adams, 35, of Penn Hills opened the doors to Lil Bunny Indoor Playground and Party Place in February 2020. For the few weeks she was open, the new business thrived. The concept revolves around giving mothers an opportunity to take their kids somewhere to blow off steam even during cold or bad weather. ....

ONE YEAR LATER, TRAFFIC PATTERNS ARE CHANGING AGAIN. LET’S FOCUS ON THE PARKWAY EAST, A HIGH TRAFFIC ROAD. ACCORDING TO PENN-DOTS DATA, ON MARCH 4 OF LAST YEAR. PRE-PANDEMIC. MORE THAN 100,000 PEOPLE DROVE PAST THE WILKINSBURG EXIT. ON APRIL FIRST, THAT NUMBER OF DRIVERS DROPPED BY TRAFFIC HALF. STEADILY INCREASED FROM THAT POINT ON, PLATEAUED A BIT IN THE EARLY FALL. AND BEGAN DROPPING IN OCTOBER. AS CASE COUNT ....
