GUTHRIE The annual used book sale of the Friends of the Guthrie Public Library has been canceled this year due to the ongoing pandemic. “COVID-19 has closed the venue we normally use for the sale and has also shut down the Guthrie Job Corps Center, which provides student help for the sale," said Calvin Selman, president of Friends. "Add the fact that our book donations are down and we are simply unable to have the sale. Which is bad, because this is the main fundraiser for the Friends.” Friends of the Guthrie Public Library hope to schedule other fundraisers and are planning to continue the sale next year.
