PHILADELPHIA - A woman has been hospitalized in critical condition after she was struck by a car early Tuesday.
Police say the incident happened at approximately 4: 30 a.m. when the victim attempted to cross the street mid-block.
A 1997 Toyota was traveling eastbound on Stenton Avenue approaching Broad Street when two pedestrians walked into the street.
The Toyota hit one of the pedestrians and remained on the scene while first responders arrived.
The 34-year-old female victim was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center and is currently listed in critical condition. No injuries reported by the other pedestrian. ....

Officials: Single vehicle crash ends with fatality on Roosevelt Boulevard

PHILADELPHIA - A man has died after an early morning single vehicle accident on Roosevelt Boulevard.
Authorities responded to an emergency call for a single car crash into a tree on the 400 block of West Roosevelt Boulevard at approximately 2:24 a.m.
A 2017 Buick was traveling northbound on Roosevelt Boulevard in the outer lanes when the driver lost control of his vehicle striking a tree.
The car then became engulfed in flames.
The operator was pronounced dead on the scene by PFD-Medic Unit at 2:25 A.M.
An investigation is active and ongoing with Accident Investigation Division. ....
