Gun legislation Public Safety Minister Bill Blair tabled in the House of Commons last month could lead to a new firearm classification regime that might embed the Liberal prohibition of thousands of semi-automatic rifles in the Criminal Code.
A firearms classification review, to take place as one of the many changes under the new legislation, Bill C-21, might also affect a Federal Court challenge that more than two dozen gun owners and shooting clubs launched four weeks after the ban came down by cabinet order. ....
