The recent gazette notification by the Centre bringing all the projects on the Godavari and Krishna rivers in Telangana and AP under the control of two river management boards was not only unprecedented but also a step in the right direction. Though Telangana has placed order for over 4 lakh vials of Remdesivir, the State was allotted only 21551 vials of the antiviral drug for ten days (April 21-30). State ordered 4 lakh Remdesivir vials, got only 21,551 for 10 days, says Health Minister
Though Telangana has placed an order for over 4 lakh vials of Remdesivir, the State was allotted only 21,551 vials of the anti-viral drug for 10 days (April 21-30).
Health Minister Eatala Rajender, who set alarm bells ringing on crucial COVID-19 resources, lashed out at the Central government’s ‘discrimination’ in allotting vaccines and oxygen to the State.
‘Centre responsible’
Requesting procurement of oxygen from places near Telangana, he said that the Central government would be responsible for oxygen shortage in the State if they do not make changes in norms. ....

Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, on Friday said she would float a political party in Telangana.
Addressing a public meeting in Khammam, about 200 KM from here, Sharmila said the outfits name, agenda and other details would be announced on July 8.
Also, she said she would undertake a hunger strike in Hyderabad for three days from April 15 if notification for government jobs is not issued by the dispensation.
The relay hunger strike would continue in every district by her partys cadre and leaders until the demand is met, she further said.
There is a necessity to float a party to question the alleged corruption in K Chandrasekhar Rao-led government in Telangana, she said. ....
