In another terrifying act of domestic violence, a 26-year-old Wisconsin woman was killed while on the phone with a 911 dispatcher last week. 
According to a local news report, 
Charniese Brown called 911 for help last Monday evening as her live-in boyfriend was attacking her. 
Ranon Brownlee allegedly murdered his girlfriend while she was on the phone calling 911 for help. (Kenosha Police Dept.)
“In listening to the recording, Ms. Brown can be heard screaming for help, crying, saying ‘he’s trying to kill me, ” said Kenosha County Deputy District Attorney ....

The last thing Sheila wanted to do on May 21 was drive her car. Getting behind the wheel with a concussion, multiple skull hematomas, and bruises and abrasions across her body was a decidedly bad idea. But it was the only way her husband would have let her out of the house.
