COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - For nearly three decades, El Cinco De Mayo Inc., has dedicated themselves to bringing cultural awareness to Southern Colorado and raising funds for underrepresented students to attend college.
Every Cinco De Mayo, the non-profit organization hosts their El Cinco De Mayo Inc. Fiesta where they usually honor recipients of the scholarship and recognize their sponsors and members.
Due to the pandemic, last year s event was canceled. Still, thanks to individual donations and funds they raised from the previous year, they were able to provide scholarships to nine students in El Paso County. ....
