Authorities say a driver struck a police officer during a police chase that crossed the Ohio River. Chelsea Knipper, 31, was arrested early Friday on numerous charges. It all started in Alexandria, Kentucky. That’s where officials with the Ohio State Highway Patrol say they responded to reports of a “suspicious person in a parking lot.”Troopers say they found Knipper, who was reported to have multiple warrants, inside of her vehicle. As authorities approached her car, troopers say she fled, striking an Alexandria police officer while fleeing. That officer only suffered minor injuries.
