While AEP Texas understands the concerns of Texans, they have said they are just waiting for permission from the Electrical Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) to begin full restoration of power.

AEP Texas was able to return power to 150,000 customers across the state late Wednesday and early Thursday, including over 15,000 homes and businesses in Webb County.
AEP services all of South Texas, parts of West Texas and North Texas east of the Panhandle. At the apex of this crisis Tuesday morning, 468,000 of their customers were left without power. As of 10:15 a.m. Thursday, 124,000 customers are still without, according to a news release. ....
