[Photo contributed] Brownwood High School 2019 graduate Braden Jetton is an NCAA Division II All-American following the Angelo State Rams’ performance at the DII national track meet in Allendale, Michigan this past weekend. Jetton and the rest of the Rams’ 4×100 relay team – David Morgan, Ja’Micah Polk and Diego Pettorossi – were clocked at 40.2, the third best time at nationals, which earned first-team All-American honors. Angelo State’s bronze medalist 4×100 relay trailed only national champion Texas A&M-Commerce (39.69) and runner-up West Texas A&M (39.82). Jetton did not compete in the Lone Star Conference meet May 7-8 in Canyon due to a knee issue, opting to rest and compete at 100 percent at nationals in hopes of earning a medal. Angelo State placed third at conference – again behind A&M-Commerce and WTAMU – in a time of 40.31, which would have left them out of the national meet. ....
