New students prepare for Fall semester with John A. Logan's Kickoff Days


CARTERVILLE, IL (WSIL) John A. Logan s Fall Kickoff Days welcomes new students to campus with a series of orientation sessions with about one dozen students taking part Wednesday morning.
The sessions help students finalize their preparations for the semester, includes updating or changing their schedule, learning about financial aid, touring the campus and locating their classrooms. Coordinator of Student Recruitment April Martinez says it s important for students to know the college is ready to help them make the most of their enrollment.
We want them to feel welcome, we want them to come here and know that we are their community college, says Martinez. A lot of them are about to make that big transition from High School to being a College Student and that s why we re here is to make that transition smooth and easy for them. ....
