Iron River:The Wisconsin National Guard will be assisting with drive-thru COVID-19 testing from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Iron River Community Center, 8275 E. Mill St. Anyone age 5 and older, symptomatic and asymptomatic, can receive the free test. Register ahead of time online at https://register.covidconnect.wi.gov or at the testing site.

I wanted to share some of the items in the governor’s biennial budget relating to veterans, seniors, the environment, our local economy and workers, and education that I am especially enthusiastic about.

Gov. Tony Evers’ 2021-2023 biennial budget bill not only contains items that would provide relief to Wisconsinites throughout the state, but it also gives Wisconsinites hope that our state has begun its recovery from the pandemic.
This budget shows that Gov. Evers and his administration are committed to making Wisconsin a better and safer place for all residents to live, work and learn. I was extremely pleased by Evers’ 2021-2023 biennial budget bill, as many of the governor’s proposals would directly help residents of Northwestern Wisconsin. ....
