TPD: Bicyclist faces life-threatening injuries after crash with car MGN Online and last updated 2021-05-11 17:34:09-04 TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) â The Tallahassee Police Department is currently investigating a crash Tuesday evening involving a car and a bicyclist. TPD says the crash occurred just aft 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Lake Bradford Road and West Gaines Street. The bicyclist was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The intersection will remain closed as the investigation continues. Motorists are urged to avoid the area. Investigators ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, but did not speak with an officer on scene, to please call TPD at 850-891-4200. They may also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 850-574-TIPS. ....
A man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries Tuesday afternoon after he was struck by a vehicle. The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating the crash, which occurred at the intersection of Lake Bradford Road and West Gaines Street, according to a press release. The intersection closed shortly after the 3:30 p.m. crash before reopening about two hours later. Police urge people to avoid the area, and call (850) 891-4200 with any information about the crash. A TPD spokesperson said this was not a hit-and-run, and they are still actively investigating the crash as of Wednesday afternoon. “The completion of the FAMU Way extension marks an important milestone for Tallahassee,” said City Manager Reese Goad in a statement announcing the ribbon cutting. “It is the culmination of a shared vision to construct an innovative infrastructure project that connects our community in more ways than one.
