Henry Dinkins Was Paroled Months Before Breasia Terrell's Murder

A product of the criminal justice system, Dinkins has been in and out of incarceration since 1990 when he was convicted of sexual abuse of a child in the third degree. He was 17 at the time. That original conviction led to an adult whose life was pockmarked by over a dozen criminal charges; some serious, some minor. In 2009, Dinkins was also charged with murder–though police eventually dropped those charges after determining that he was actually a witness, according to the Cedar Rapids ....

A registered sex offender is charged with murder in connection with the 2020 death of 10-year-old Breasia Terrell, whose remains were found in March.
Henry Earl Dinkins, 48, who had been a person of interest in the case since the little girl went missing in July 2020, is charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping, Scott County Attorney Michael Walton announced at a press conference Wednesday.

(Davenport, IA) A man s now charged with murder in the death of an 10 year-old Davenport girl who went missing last summer.
Henry Earl Dinkins is charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping after he had been named a person of interest. Dinkins is the father of Breasia Terrell s half-brother and is a registered sex offender.
Terrell went missing in July of 2020, after staying at Dinkins home over night with her half-brother.
After months of searching and continued pleas for Breasia Terrell s safe return, her body was found near DeWitt, Iowa in March.

Breasia Terrell killing: Henry Dinkins charged with murder, kidnapping

Murder and kidnapping charges have been filed against a man previously named a person of interest in the killing of 10-year-old Breasia Terrell.
Henry Earl Dinkins was charged with first-degree murder in Terrell s death, Scott County Attorney Michael Walton said at a news conference Wednesday morning.
Terrell was last seen July 10 after spending the night with her half-brother at the Davenport apartment of his father, Dinkins. Human remains found March 22 in a wooded area north of DeWitt were confirmed to be Terrell s on March 31.
At a Wednesday news conference, Walton said Dinkins shot Terrell on July 10. Dinkins was also charged with first-degree kidnapping, Walton said. ....
