The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense announced said that the prototypes of RK-360MT Neptune mobile anti-ship cruise missile system were handed over to the military.
“Prototypes of the coastal mobile missile system with anti-ship missiles RK-360MT Neptune were transferred to the Ukrainian Navy,” the ministry said.
The
Neptune systems were manufactured under a state contract between the MoD and Kyiv State Design Bureau Luch. The military inducted these systems in August 2020. It is capable of destroying cruiser, destroyer, frigate and corvette warships, as well as landing ships and transports which operate both individually and in groups. Missiles can hit targets in difficult weather conditions with active fire and electronic countermeasures. ....

Austin III held his first in-person bilateral engagement with Japanese Minister of Defense Nobuo Kishi, today in Tokyo.
During the meeting, Secretary Austin reaffirmed the importance of the U.S.-Japan Alliance in upholding a free and open Indo-Pacific, and highlighted that the Alliance is the cornerstone of regional security and stability.
He also emphasized the need for the Alliance to prepare for long-term challenges.
The two leaders addressed a broad range of defense issues, to include China’s growing capabilities and aggressive actions in the East and South China Seas, the threat from North Korean nuclear and missile programs, the importance of Japan’s role in regional security, advanced capabilities development, building partner capacity, and enhancing multilateral cooperation. ....

Hyderabad facility to provide MRO service for the armed forces
Kalyani Rafael Advanced Systems (KRAS) has rolled out its first batch of Medium Range Surface to Air Missile (MRSAM) for the Indian Army and the Air Force from its facility located near the Hyderabad international airport.
KRAS is a joint venture between the Kalyani Group and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems of Israel engaged in the defence sector manufacturing. If the demand goes up, the venture may consider stepping up manufacturing and setting up another facility.
The roll-out event marked KRAS commitment to deliver more than 1,000 MRSAM ‘missile kits’ to the Indian Army and Air Force over the coming years. The missile sections will then be forwarded to Bharat Dynamics Limited for integration. ....
