Idaho Man Convicted for Wyoming Crimes Gets Life Sentence


A leader of a white supremacist prison gang in Idaho already convicted of crimes in Wyoming was sentenced last week to life imprisonment, according to court records and the Idaho U.S. Attorney s Office.
Harlan Hale, 55, of the Aryan Knights, or AK, was sentenced in Idaho federal court after pleading guilty to two racketeering crimes, Acting Idaho U.S. Attorney Rafael M. Gonzalez, Jr. said in a prepared statement.
Hale pleaded guilty to to one count of participating in a RICO (the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act) conspiracy and one count of committing a violent crime in furtherance of racketeering activity, Gonzalez said. ....

Eastern Idaho methamphetamine dealer sentenced to over 17 years in federal prison

The following is a news release from the Idaho U.S. Attorney’s Office.
POCATELLO Richard A. Burns, 37, of St. Anthony, was sentenced in U.S. District Court to 17 years in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney Bart M. Davis announced Thursday. U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill also ordered Burns to serve five years of supervised release following his prison sentence. Burns pleaded guilty to the charge on Dec. 4, 2019.
According to court records, on May 11, 2019, an Idaho State Police trooper stopped Burns and a co-defendant on the interstate in Pocatello. While the trooper spoke with the co-defendant, Burns’ got into the driver’s seat and fled, taking police on a high-speed chase. Ultimately, Burns crashed the car in Blackfoot and escaped on foot. Officers searched the vehicle and found over three pounds of methamph ....
