COTEAU, La. â Parish President Larry Richard announced on Wednesday that customers in Iberia Parish Waterworks District #3 (Coteau) will have service suspended starting at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
According to a release, Richard said customers are urged to inspect their property for leaks and to stop running water faucets immediately.
The facility cannot sustain production levels or distribution pressure for much longer, the release states. ....

A boil advisory has been issued for Lafayette residents
north of I-10.
According to the automated message I got, you need to boil water for one minute before drinking, washing fruit or food, brushing teeth, etc.
A number of communities are asking citizens to conserve water as many allow their faucets to drip in an effort to avoid pipes from freezing.
