Food, toiletries, magazines, and movies are boxed and shipped out to soldiers overseas.
“It’s not so much what’s in the box, but the thought. And for them to know that we haven’t forgotten,” says Patty Rathschmidt, co-founder of United For The Troops.
Patty and Jim Rathschmidt started United For The Troops after their son, Luke, was deployed to Iraq. Over the last 14 years, the organization has sent more than 24,000 care packages to active military across the world, showing soldiers they’re appreciated and helping families heal. ....
