Wilford Jay âRedâ Loose, 96, of Coldwater passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility.
A funeral service will take place at 12:30 on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Dave Anderson of First Baptist Church of Charlevoix officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery.
The family is asking everyone to wear a mask to keep safe. Redâs funeral will be webcast on his Dutcher Funeral Home web page for those who cannot attend.

UCT (United Commercial Travelers of America) Salem Council #590 holds a Safety Poster Contest at Robert Bycroft School annually. All students at the school participated in the contest and judging of the posters was completed at the council’s April meeting. Judging of the posters is by Upper Class, Middle Class and Lower Class. A first and second place winner is awarded in each of the three groups. First place winners are awarded $25 and second place $15. Council members Ron Shively, Homer and Gerrie Huprich made the awards at the school May 5. A picture was taken of some of the winners. Not all were available for the picture. Wilma Genevieve Pitzer, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility. Born in Gerrardstown, WV, April 17, 1926, she was the daughter of Howard and Daisy McCormick Pitzer. She lived her entire life on the family property with her parents and aunts who operated McCormick’s Store, which was established by her grandfather, Richard McCormick.
Since January 2018, she had remained in her home under the excellent care of Home Helpers Home Care of Martinsburg.
Employed as a bank teller at Merchants and Farmers Bank in Martinsburg, she retired from the branch in Inwood after a long career. She was a trusted and meticulous treasurer who served in that capacity for the Gerrardstown Presbyterian Church and for the Gerrardstown Presbyterian Cemetery for many years, and for the organizations in which she was a member. In addition to serving as treasurer, she was the first woman elected as a Ruling Elder at the Gerrardstown Presbyterian Churc
