Despite Incarceration, Genesis Global Prophet Secures Release of 82 Inmates

Despite being behind bars after he was convicted and sentenced to a two-year jail time four months ago, Prophet Israel Ogundipe of Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Genesis Global Parish, has assisted 82 persons incarcerated unjustly regain freedom.
His philanthropic gesture was made public during the church’s partnership with Monday Ubani Foundation aimed at releasing more people abandoned in correctional facilities across the country without trial nor evidence of the crime they allegedly committed.
This was corroborated by the church’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Gbolanhan Ashorobi, during an event to announce a partnership with the Monday Ubani Foundation. ....

Rather than throw a pity party and worry over his situation, incarcerated clergy man, Israel Oladele Ogundipe of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Genesis Global Parish, who is serving a two year jail sentence has decided to channel his energy to more productive courses, one of which is to focus on helping fellow inmates regain freedom
Israel Ogundipe whose sentence began about four months ago, partnered with the foundation of Monday Ubani, a former Second Vice President of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, and has so far assisted 82 people incarcerated unjustly to regain freedom.
The church’s Public Relations Officer, Gbolanhan Ashorobi revealed this much at an event where he announce a partnership between the Ogundipe and the foundation. The partnership is aimed at helping to get inmates released from correctional facilities. ....

Popular Lagos Prophet Israel Oladele to remain in prison as court refuses post conviction bail
Justice Olabisi Akinlade of an Ikeja High Court on Tuesday refused the post-conviction bail application filed by Israel Oladele Ogundipe, a televangelist, popularly known as ‘Genesis’ and the head of the ‘Genesis Parish of the Celestial Church of Christ’, Alagbado, Lagos.
Ogundipe was on Nov. 18 sentenced to a year in prison after being found guilty of the offences of conversion of property not delivered and stealing.
The televangelist, however, in a motion on notice for bail pending appeal asked the court for an order, admitting him to unconditional bail pending the hearing and determination of the appeal of his sentence. ....
