The Oklahoma County District Attorney determined that a man, arrested Sunday after a deadly shooting at a northwest Oklahoma City home, acted in self-defense and has been cleared of charges and released, according to Oklahoma City police.According to police, officers responded at about 5:19 a.m. Sunday to a report of a shooting at a home near Northwest 30th Street and Independence Avenue. They found two people who had been shot.Police said one victim, 47-year-old Zachariah Perry, was found inside the home and pronounced dead at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound. Another person, a 37-year-old male resident, had also been shot at the home. He was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.Investigators said they learned there was some type of altercation that took place inside the home between Perry and a female resident. The female tried to leave with the help of several others, including the accused shooter, a 33-year-old man. While in the process of leaving, police said there was another altercation between the group and the 37-year-old male resident. During that incident, the 37-year-old man opened fire at the group, and the 33-year-old man opened fire at the house. Police said they believe the 33-year-old man’s gunfire struck both the 37-year-old man and the homicide victim, Perry. The 33-year-old was originally taken in custody and booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a complaint of second-degree murder, according to police. After further investigation, police said this case was presented to the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office. The District Attorney’s Office determined the 33-year-old man was acting in self-defense. He has been cleared of charges and released. KOCO 5 is not releasing his name because charges were not filed against him. The District Attorney’s Office accepted charges against the second shooting victim, the 37-year-old man, in this case. He is facing charges of felony murder, four counts of shooting with intent, and one count of possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction. He is currently in police custody.

5 Oklahoma officers face manslaughter charges in shooting of 15-year-old armed robbery suspect

By MEREDITH DELISO, ABC News
(OKLAHOMA CITY, Ok.) -- Five Oklahoma police officers were charged with manslaughter Wednesday in the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old armed robbery suspect last year.
In November, Stavian Rodriguez was killed after officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at an Oklahoma City gas station, authorities said.
The owner of the gas station managed to leave and lock Rodriguez inside as officers surrounded the business, police said. Rodriguez was shot after he climbed out the drive-thru window, police said.
Security camera footage released by the Oklahoma County District Attorney's Office Wednesday shows Rodriguez emerge from the convenience store building as officers yell for him to show his hands, lay on the ground and drop his firearm. Rodriguez can be seen dropping a gun on the ground and reaching toward his back pocket before the officers open fire.
