Four years on from their groundbreaking debut, The Flip Phone Fantasy, and the boys couldn’t be happier. ‘It’s just a rollercoaster of emotions for me,’ says vocalist Dale Tanner. The tour announcement followed an impressive triple j Like A Version cover of Sneaky Sound System’s ‘UFO.’ The band was accompanied by former member Matthew Victor Kopp, aka Running Touch, who provided a different level of instrumental texture to the rendition. The restyled cover was a stunning punk-rock arrangement, received as a breath of fresh air to many. ....
Credit: Press Aussie producer Hayden James has been announced as the latest act to headline an Untitled Group Day Party gig. James’ show will be the second in-person Day Party following the return of large public gatherings. Rounding out the event’s lineup will be Motez, Adult Art Club, Spacey Space, Tiff Cornish and Some Sheila. When gatherings were not possible last year, Untitled held virtual day party performances from the likes of James, Dom Dolla, Lastlings and Willaris. K. Previous in-person Untitled Day Parties have showcased performances from Claptone, Solomun, MK and Patrick Topping. There’s a certain magic that dances in the air at every gig that simply cannot be replicated in the outside world. It’s the ultimate escape from it all, and since 2020 wasn’t exactly fertile ground for live events, I know I’m not alone in saying that I’m absolutely fiending for a festival right now.
