Suspect in Lee County bar shooting captured in Las Vegas after 2 months on the run

The suspect in a December shooting at a Lee County bar was taken into custody in Nevada.
Alex Omari Rutledge, 20, was arrested Feb. 11 in Las Vegas, Lee County sheriff’s officials said Wednesday. The 20-year-old Phenix City man is awaiting extradition to Alabama.
The shooting happened Dec. 26 at Del Ranch Bar in the Smiths Station community. Deputies responded about 3:51 a.m. that Saturday and found two male victims with gunshot wounds. One of the men was seriously injured.
A warrant charging Rutledge with first-degree assault was issued Dec. 30, 2020. Anyone with additional information in the case or any other crime is asked to call Lee County Sheriff Investigations at 334-749-5651 or the Crime Stoppers 334-215-STOP (7867). ....
