CHAPMANVILLE â A man from Lincoln County is behind bars on numerous charges including assault and terroristic acts after police say he tried to break into a home near Chapmanville, profanely resisted police orders and threatened violence against the homeowner and family. According to a criminal complaint filed in Logan County Magistrate Court, Deputy C.L. Carter of the Logan County Sheriffâs Office responded to a home at Country Club Drive just outside of Chapmanville on July 18 regarding a man attempting to kick a door down to get inside the home. When Carter arrived, he saw the accused, Malcolm Ray Meade, 33, of Branchland, pacing in the driveway. ....
LOGAN â A Logan man is facing two counts of a felony charge after police say he sent photos of nude women to an underaged female. The incident happened Saturday, July 10, according to a criminal complaint filed in Logan County Magistrate Court. Police say John David Gardner Jr., 37, of Logan, initiated a Facebook Messenger conversation with an underaged juvenile female using a waving hand. According to the complaint, the juvenile sent a waving hand back, which Gardner replied with by saying, âNice 2 meet u.â The juvenile replied âYou too!â Gardner then asked the juvenile how old she was, which she responded that she is â17 almost 18â years old. This reply led to Gardner to respond, âAww shoot.â ....
