Darren Wolfson, jack-of-all-trades sports guy for KSTP and contributor for SKOR North, is one of the most trusted and locked-in sources of sports news in the Twin Cities. In order to get to know him a little better, as well as gather his thoughts on some recent Vikings matters, I went to the man himself for answers.

Seriously, why hasn’t Broncos Rod Smith sniffed the Hall of Fame?
When you look at it, it’s kind of amazing he’s not more part of the conversation.

In the latest Something Something Broncos, fill-in host Chad McKnight and I break down just how ridiculous it is for less-qualified receivers to be considered for the Hall of Fame over Denver’s Rod Smith.
With the retirement of Julian Edelman, Boston-twanged accents couldn’t wait to trumpet him as the next great Hall of Famer-elect. Don’t get me wrong, Edelman had a mighty fine career, 3-time Super Bowl Champion, 2018 Super Bowl MVP, 620 receptions, 6,822 receiving yards, 41 touchdowns, was a member of the Patriots All-2010’s team, but it’s significant that he was selected to not a single Pro Bowl.

Longtime KSTP-TV Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl is retiring. He gave his final forecast on 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS at 6 on Wednesday.
Dahl has been at KSTP for 43 years and only had one boss. I m so fortunate for that because the ownership here, the Hubbard family, has been spectacular, Dahl said. They took a chance with a kid right out of college that was 23. They took a chance with me. And I m grateful to no end for what they ve allowed me to accomplish and do at this station. I consider them my family and I consider Mr. Hubbard a second dad to me.

Legendary Twin Cities sports broadcaster Tom Hanneman has died.
Fox Sports North, where Hanneman has worked as a host for Minnesota Timberwolves, Twins, Wild and Gophers hockey shows since 2012, confirmed the news Friday. We’re deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friend and colleague Tom Hanneman, Fox Sports North said in a statement. He meant the world to so many in Minnesota and across the nation. Out of respect for his family, we’re going to take all of the time necessary to reflect and properly honor this great man.
Prior to joining Fox Sports North, Hanneman worked at WCCO-TV for 16 years in the 1970s and 80s before serving as a host, reporter and later as the play-by-play voice for the Timberwolves.
