Peg Davies and Marcel Noyes are Hubbard County’s 2021 Outstanding Seniors.
They were honored – along with other senior volunteers – at a luncheon sponsored by the Hubbard County Senior Council Friday, July 16 at the county fairgrounds.
Davies and Noyes will go on to compete for statewide outstanding senior awards at the Minnesota State Fair.
Many service organization depend upon volunteers to operate, said Connie Carmichael, executive director of Living at Home of the Park Rapids Area (LAH). ....

ONTARIO - The Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, Inc. is currently accepting nominations for the Outstanding Senior Citizen and Community Service Award. Nominations can be completed online at aaa5ohio.org or by requesting a form to be mailed to you. The deadline for nominations is May 28.
Award recipients from a nine-county area (one awardee from each county) will be honored by Area Agency on Aging. Nominees must be at least 60 years of age, a legal resident of Ohio for at least five years, and have made significant contributions to the community. A husband and wife may receive the award jointly when both have been involved in community service. One Outstanding Senior Citizen Award will be presented for each county in the agency s service area. ....

When the public health calamity of the century hit our world, it fell to Jefferson County Public Health Director Michael Baker to steer the community through the crisis.
Jefferson County Commissioner Kelly Simmelink presented Baker with the Public Servant of the Year award at this year s Madras-Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce awards banquet.
