Horrified but not surprised is the sentiment Indigenous people across the province have expressed in the five days since the bodies of 215 First Nations children were discovered on the grounds of the former Kamloops Indian Residential School.
The tragic and sickening stories of life in residential schools have been told, if only partially, in First Nations communities across Canada since survivors of the first schools made it back home more than 100 years ago.
