The Summit County Democratic Party nominated Peoa resident Eve Furse to become the next county clerk after the retirement of former Clerk Kent Jones. Furse says she is looking forward to working as the county clerk to build community, promote trust in the electoral process and register voters. The position will be on the ballot in the 2022 general election and Furse committed to running for a full term.
