‘Don’t let them intimidate you’: Massachusetts police department gives residents tips for dealing with aggressive turkeys

A police department in Massachusetts wants residents to know that they should not be intimated by aggressive turkeys.
“For aggressive turkeys, don’t let them intimidate you,” a tip from the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife said. “You should threaten or scare bold turkeys using a hose, a leashed dog or loud noises.”
Residents in Wenham have been reporting sightings of turkeys on Pleasant Street.
“Wild turkeys can be dangerous and Wenham Police would like to encourage all residents to avoid interaction with them,” the police department said in a statement. ....
