The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has busted a recruitment racket involving the deputy director general (DDG) of Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS).
According to the CBI officials, the DDG and a few others were allegedly involved in manipulation and influencing the members of interview board for ensuring qualification of certain candidates in oral examination in lieu of huge amount of bribe. ....

NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Sunday (April 18) busted a racket involving public servant of the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS) in collusion with private persons, who manipulated and influenced the members of the Interview Board for ensuring the qualification of certain candidates in an oral examination.
The CBI registered a case against Arvind Kumar, Deputy Director General (Central Zone), DGMS, Head Office, Dhanbad, two private persons, Kailash Mandal (brother of DDG Arvind) and Triloki Nath Singh and other unknown persons on the allegations that Deputy Director General (Central Zone) along with his brother Kailash Mandal and Triloki Nath Singh and others had entered into a conspiracy for showing undue favours to some of the candidates appearing for the oral examination after qualifying Computer Based Examinations for Manager s, Certificate of Competency (Restricted and Unrestricted), conducted by Director ....

JAMB resolves technical glitches, resumes registration for 2021

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says it has resolved the technical glitches which informed its postponement of registration earlier in the month.
DAILY POST recalls that the exam body on Thursday, last week, announced the suspension of the registration to integrate the use of the National Identification Number, NIN in its registration process.
However, Head, Media and Protocol of JAMB, Dr. Fabian Benjamin says the processes have been perfected and that students can now access its site and register.
‘’We have commenced full registration of candidates for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) into tertiary education institutions in the country.’’ ....
