MIDDLE POINT – During Wednesday evening’s Lincolnview Board of Education meeting, the Board heard about a variety of topics.
During his report, Superintendent Jeff Snyder noted that the U.S. Department of Agriculture has approved free school lunches for the 2021-2022 school year. This means that all students are eligible to receive a free standard breakfast and lunch; ala carte menu items can be purchased at an extra charge. ....

The Lincolnview Local Board of Education took a number of personnel actions, approved the list of graduates for this year, received a district coronavirus update from Superintendent Jeff Snyder, and also heard from a district parent concerning policies he feels should be adopted by the board related to sexuality and gender identification during its April meeting on Wednesday.
In addition to approving a one-year contract for Kaitlyn Edelbrock as assistant to Treasurer Troy Bowersock, those hired by the board included elementary intervention specialists Emilee Grothouse and Taylor Hughes, high school math teacher Jason Bockey, elementary physical education teach ....

State budget cuts and future funding were two items briefly touched on during Thursday night’s meeting of the Lincolnview Local Board of Education.

Treasurer Troy Bowersock said the district received $186,000 less this year and he said he recently learned how much more will be cut from state foundation money.
“At this point in time it looks like the reduction is going to amount to $83,900 for year two, so roughly a $270,000 decrease over the last two-year period for our state funding,” Bowersock explained. ....
