In a shocking turn of events, Ballia Police personnel were seen burning bodies of the dead near the banks of Ganga in Yogi Adityanath s Uttar Pradesh. The video of police insensitivity has gone viral on social media. As per local media reports, the policemen removed the dead bodies flowing into the Ganges and sprayed petrol on them. Moreover, tyres were also placed on the pyre as well as wood.
Taking cognizance of the viral video, Superintendent of Police Ballia, suspended the five constables and handed over the investigation of the entire episode to Additional Superintendent of Police, Ballia. ....

State superintendent 'strongly recommends' mask mandates be lifted in Montana schools in fall

The Montana Office of Public Instruction (OPI) strongly recommends school districts across the Treasure State rescind any existing mask mandates for the upcoming school year. That s according to State Superintendent Elsie Arntzen, who read part of a letter being sent to other superintendents, on Wake Up Montana Wednesday morning.Â
In light of the changes occurring across the state, as we move into the 2021-2022 school year, the OPI strongly recommends that school districts across Montana rescind, or allow to expire, any existing face covering mandates, and develop policies that make the wearing of face masks and other coverings optional, voluntary, and a matter of family choice, - Montana OPI Superintendent Elsie Arntzen wrote.Â ....

Opening of Mughal Road: DM Poonch Elaborates Arrangements, Covid-19 Testing To Be Done En Route

SRINAGAR: District Magistrate Poonch has elaborated arrangements regarding restoration of historic Mughal Road – connecting Poonch and Shopian districts of south Kashmir – exclusively to fruit-laden trucks and movement of Gujjar-Bakerwals.
In an order, the District Magistrate Inder Jeet stated that subsequent to the Government’s decision regarding opening of Mughal Road and in exercise of powers vested in him under Sec. 34 of Disaster Management Act 2005 and other Acts/Rules in vogue, the arrangements ordered with immediate effect include that the road be allowed for the movement of permitted category only that is fruit laden trucks having valid permission from respective District Magistrate of originating district and for seasonal nomads with herds. ....
