Mother-daughter artists design sailboats for 150 Sails Up Becky and Emma Mitchell of rural Lake Park were among three pairs of multi-generational artists to design sailboats for this year s 150 Sails Up in DL public art project. Mitchell designed two 4-foot sailboats using mosaic glass, for the Becker County Museum and Detroit Lakes Public Library. Her daughter, Emma, designed one of the smaller Retail Sails sculptures, which was purchased by the Mitchell family. One of Becky s large sailboat designs is on display outside the Becker County Museum at 714 Summit Ave., while Emma s smaller sailboat is on display in the museum lobby.
